ZMCK BOTSWANA
The Practice
Since September 2015, ZMCK Botswana has again re-organised into a 100% citizen owned entity, the process which was concluded by the end of 2017. The Botswana practice has already become independent of practices in Zambia, Lesotho, Swaziland and South Africa.
The Practice has been operating in Botswana since 1980 offers a comprehensive range of built environment engineering services under the broard descriptions of Civil, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
ZMCK Consulting Engineers is registered with the Botswana Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board as well as with the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the European Union and various private and parastatal organisations. The company is a member of the Association of Consulting Engineers Botswana and practices in accordance with their rules of professional conduct.
Our Stories
ZMCK Consulting Engineers was inaugurated in 1982 through the re-organisation of the following very long established Southern African Practices:
ZMG Consulting Engineers, Zambia and Botswana
BMMK & Partners, Malawi & Zimbabwe
MCMK Consulting Engineers, Zambia
In 1990 the partnership was again re-organised and stream-lined. The group then consisted of practices in Botswana, Zambia, Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
In 1995 ZMCK became associated with the South African practice of Van Niekerk Kleyn and Edwards (VKE). VKE was established in 1947 and employs a staff of over 450. VelaVKE and principals of other ZMCK Offices participate in ZMCK Botswana through ZMCK Holdings Ltd.
